This album was not released in North America at the time, but was heavily imported as there was little demand in the UK (frontman Derek Shulman said in one editions liner notes that the band were "no profile" as opposed to low profile). I had to get the CD from Russia before I found this here.
Gentle Giant sound like nobody else and are hard to pigeon-hole. The most unique track here is "An Inmates Lullaby", which takes a life of its own and could never be on the radio! The lack of any mainstream sound may have turned off the record companies in the States from having to put it out. As a result, this album became the Holy Grail for the bands cult following in the US and Canada for decades, but can now be found here for pennies!
